Leadhills Conservation Area Character Appraisal Consultation

CoverPicThumbnail.pdfThis survey seeks the views of those with an interest in the conservation of the village of Leadhills.  The Council has prepared a draft Leadhills Conservation Area Character Appraisal and is preparing for a future property grant scheme, a Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme which is funded by the Council and Historic Scotland.

The Appraisal identifies the key features which make the area special e.g. its historical importance, architectural quality, use of traditional materials, important open spaces and the combination of uses.  It also provides an opportunity to identify and explain what could be done to protect and enhance the area.  As part of protecting and enhancing the character of the conservation area and to assist with providing a sustainable future for the village, the Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme is to commence later in 2008.

To see a copy of the Conservation Area Character Appraisal it can be accessed below under the heading "Supporting Documents" along with an accompanying map of the village.

Please click the button below to enter the survey.  The survey will close on the 1st August 2008.  Thank you for your interest.

The event is not currently available for consultation.
